Sadly i can't find the full length version of this glorious performance, there is only 30 seconds or so of it posted on You Tube (please mail me if you can help)
To me this is the greatest ever "live" TV performance of this song.
And i if i ever find the full version i promise to give it an honorary appearance at the very top of this blog.
Taken from The BBC TV Daytime show Pebble Mill at One, i give you Mr Paul Shane
P.S. what is it about this song that there are so many classic crap versions ?
Jonny Trunk & Wisbey Ladies' bras
An American friend who reads this blog said he had never heard this record.
I have avoided posting it till now as it’s quite well known in the UK, but i forget it's the world wide web.
Perhaps it's just the British sense of humour.
But for those who haven’t encountered it before it’s 37 seconds long and childish in the extreme
But funny all the same

Gangsters Chris Farlowe & Dave Greenslade
Theme to the BBC TV Series Gangsters from 1978.
From what i remember it was actually quite a good TV show. But the screaming vocals and twiddly synthesier sounds that get worse at it goes along crack me up for some reason.
Very 1970`s

George Van Dusen It's party time again
You can't beat a little bit of yodeleing every now and then to help cheer you up......
If this record doesn't make you smile there is something wrong with you.
A brilliant record i'm sure you'll agree...

Crap TV
I Read an article in a newspaper suggesting that before you throw those old video cassettes away you take a look at the last quarter of the tape.
Most people rewind and record from the beginning, so depending on the age of the cassette the end bit may have some very old unseen never recorded over clips of years gone by.
The first tape I found had an old episode of The Tube (in full) and I am finding I am also enjoying old commercial breaks or continuity announcements (how sad am I) that were never recorded over and bring back happy memories
However there are also some laugh out loud clips of sheer crapness that I think I may share with you from time to time.
This is just an experiment to begin with but to start the ball rolling a BBC2 Documentary from somewhere in the 80`s on a tape marked “Victoria Wood as seen on TV” just before the tape ends……..
Childish i know but it made me laugh as it's a very Victoria Wood type of Subject and could quite easily have been one of her sketches.
